I discovered the following poem in Wayne Dyer's book, The Power of Intention.  It's by Rumi, a 13th century Persian poet and mystic.  It is so beautiful that I want to share it with you here.

You were born with potential.
You were born with goodness and trust.
You were born with ideals and dreams.
You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don't.
You have wings.
Learn to use them and fly.

While I read your emails as they come, I never thought I would find myself responding or commenting on one…as I thought my relationship was invincible….

I am a very big fan of Wayne Dyer and although I have read “The Power of Intention” that poem slipped my mind. It came exactly at the right time, it was exactly what I needed to hear….

Thank you….I only wish I had read it about a month ago when I found myself “crawling” due to the breakup of a close relationship…….however, every experience is a learning experience…..so I thank you for adding to my healing process as we all know the power that comes from it.

When I was born, God put a smile on my lips
The Angels, tickled me to laugh with their wings tips
God gave me every potential in the world to be
Whatever I wanted,great,poor,rich,sad,or happy
He gave me a mind for me to use
He gave me lips to give praise and not abuse
He gave me arms to hold and love
He gave me legs to walk down or above
He gave me a mouth to talk love or hate
He gave me all His qualities
With eyes to see all this beauty
So its up to me, you see
What I do with my life
It is mine, and mine alone
And it’s my responsibilty
So what will I do
